Life in Throwbacks

Happy new year 2021!
Life,  they say happens when we are busy making plans for it, and I have personally found that to be true to an extent. For example, the photo collage attached to this post has me, 3 years apart, doing the same thing; traveling by road to Abuja, Nigeria, and wearing braids😎. The first picture was taken in 2018, the beginning of my NYSC, and as I embarked on the Journey, I knew I wanted to be where I was headed, but I was nervous, really nervous. What is going to happen this one year? And the year after? How do I fit in to the Almighty Capital City? What if staying at my Uncle's becomes a total disaster? What's going to happen with my career? A Career that I don't even know what it is that I want. What of my parents? What if something happens to them while I'm away?
The second picture was taken a few days go, with better conditions, better anticipation and more responsibility, and with resolve to make the most of time while I can. 
 Those 3 years, I had made plans, but most of the things that I have experienced weren't in my plans, at all. And that's good at times, and bad other times. And truly, we make plans for when we are rich, but right now,  life is actually happening. Then comes the memories, and that’s when you realize that the summation of what your life has been is in the memories made.
Okay, I'm not sure I made much comprehensible sense, and I found out  that writing philosophical pieces is not my Forte at all, and  I am very cool with it. I'll just write stories instead. So you're welcome to my tedtalk 😩

I'll tell a story, it's what I do anyway 🤷‍♀️ It's a really long story but hopefully, I'll compress it to a single blog post. September 2012, I had just resumed 100 Level, 10 days after resumption date and I had one friend that I knew from home, she was basically the only person I knew from my set. I was a shy, awkward and reserved being; I hardly spoke and I had bad mouth odour 😭 (I think I also didn't know how to brush properly). There was this igbo girl with ugly bootcut trousers and weaves that my new course mate Ebun, described as "mad woman's hair". I soon discovered that this igbo girl was my classmate,  which was the reason I saw her that often. I also discovered that igbo girl spoke really smartly when she opened her mouth, (which was frequently),  and she was the king of sarcasm. LIFE'S UPDATE

It's been forever, I know😑. Well, as much as I want to have content here (it is actually important that I have much content here), I really don't want to force this. That's another day's headache though. Let's get to work, I hope you've been well. The month of July is coming to a close, frankly it's TRUE time waits for no one. I remember ending 2018, I wrote goals. I think that no matter how cliche it might be taught as to write goals, knowing what you want to do, and documenting it is the first step towards achieving them.  I wrote goals, and I got into the year troubled, January was filled with tears guys. My dad wasn't okay and he was crying on a steady, I was too😭. When I was younger, I couldn't wait to be an adult, and earn my own money, Nigeria must have been like 😏😏 when I thought like that. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Hi guys, its been a while, again. I know. First, I must confess that my post title does not necessarily have a meaning per se , I just thought of a random heading that might  draw your attention lol   be used. How are you  doing? How's life, how's all that matters to you? How has your year been too? On this side, I've been doing okay, I guess. About three weeks ago, I asked for opinions for a series that I was going to publish here, and I started one, really. Then, I lost someone dear to me and mine. I wasn't sure I wanted to continue writing, or if I felt like writing at that particular period, those were days of grief, memories and of course, family. I almost wrote a tribute here, but I also was not sure it would be appropriate. In my tribute to him, I promised to write a book about his life, he lived a selfless life.
