A story of firsts (2)

They say "don't follow the crowd, be wary of accolades" etc. And, It's true! But, some of my guys read my last blogpost and asked why I ended the "sweet" gist😂 and my head started swelling, so I decided to continue this early morning, pray for me😭
Well, I am writing all these experiences because it is something I have chosen to share. 

So, I'm on about my third/ fourth job this year, I don't want to write much about all that. Maybe I will, someday. Selah 

So, what have I learned so far?
- My friend's younger Sister just got admitted in to the university, I told her to ensure she follows up on her sister, get her to intern in places of interest. It counts! If by chance you're reading this post, and you're an undergraduate, please volunteer, intern, work for free et.c. It doesn't matter whether you plan to stay in Nigeria or not, all those internship, volunteer jobs that you take up early will be of advantage to you!
-  Don't be offended when people who promised you jobs fail you, particularly if they're civil servants, most of them would help if they could. I know there are exceptions. 
- Be hopeful and always put your best foot forward, don't submit shabby applications.
- Please learn a skill, an online course etc. I got a job because a diploma course that I took online stood out on my CV.
- Don't be too hard on yourself. 
- Don't stop networking, and reaching out till you get what you want. But, do NOT despise those seemingly small jobs.
- Things happen, build your shock-absorber, while hoping for the best. I got laid off like two months into a job, it was like I was hit with a sledge hammer😭
- I know tomorrow, I might need to come back to take from these lessons again, that's basically the goal in the first instance. 

- I am not an expert or something lol, just stuff I've learned. 
- The lessons are inexhaustible, so I'll stop here.

It's a review of the calendar year 2019.

I'll tell a story, it's what I do anyway 🤷‍♀️ It's a really long story but hopefully, I'll compress it to a single blog post. September 2012, I had just resumed 100 Level, 10 days after resumption date and I had one friend that I knew from home, she was basically the only person I knew from my set. I was a shy, awkward and reserved being; I hardly spoke and I had bad mouth odour 😭 (I think I also didn't know how to brush properly). There was this igbo girl with ugly bootcut trousers and weaves that my new course mate Ebun, described as "mad woman's hair". I soon discovered that this igbo girl was my classmate,  which was the reason I saw her that often. I also discovered that igbo girl spoke really smartly when she opened her mouth, (which was frequently),  and she was the king of sarcasm. LIFE'S UPDATE

It's been forever, I know😑. Well, as much as I want to have content here (it is actually important that I have much content here), I really don't want to force this. That's another day's headache though. Let's get to work, I hope you've been well. The month of July is coming to a close, frankly it's TRUE time waits for no one. I remember ending 2018, I wrote goals. I think that no matter how cliche it might be taught as to write goals, knowing what you want to do, and documenting it is the first step towards achieving them.  I wrote goals, and I got into the year troubled, January was filled with tears guys. My dad wasn't okay and he was crying on a steady, I was too😭. When I was younger, I couldn't wait to be an adult, and earn my own money, Nigeria must have been like 😏😏 when I thought like that. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Hi guys, its been a while, again. I know. First, I must confess that my post title does not necessarily have a meaning per se , I just thought of a random heading that might  draw your attention lol   be used. How are you  doing? How's life, how's all that matters to you? How has your year been too? On this side, I've been doing okay, I guess. About three weeks ago, I asked for opinions for a series that I was going to publish here, and I started one, really. Then, I lost someone dear to me and mine. I wasn't sure I wanted to continue writing, or if I felt like writing at that particular period, those were days of grief, memories and of course, family. I almost wrote a tribute here, but I also was not sure it would be appropriate. In my tribute to him, I promised to write a book about his life, he lived a selfless life. I plan to get due permission from family, as the  title and its framework and theme are all in my head. I thought of why people generally express
